Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, Summer Palace
After complimentary hotel pick up the day kicks off at the Tiananmen Square, the largest city square in the world. You can walk to the Forbidden City to get impressive sights of high red walls topped up by golden roofs in the midst of countless courtyards and temples then listen to the guides commentary about the tales of emperors and their concubines. In the afternoon after a filling local lunch, you will visit the Temple of Heaven, which was where the emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties worshiped the Gods of Heaven for bumper harvests and peace. End the tour for the day at the Summer Palace overlooking a vast ensemble of gardens, lakes and palaces before being sent back to the hotel.

Beijing Zoo, Hutong, Lama Temple
Starts at the Beijing Zoo cuddling or taking selfies with the cute pandas in their natural habitat. Learn more about the life of these cute animals and their conservation before heading to the Hutongs where you can see the old neighborhoods of Beijing by either walking around or riding on a tricycle. Have a sumptuous local lunch here in the midst of locals in a family owned restaurant then participate in a traditional Peking Opera facial makeup before moving to the Lama Temple to get the chance to see Tibetan Buddhist structures and artifacts. This temple is one of the most interesting religious sites and active Buddhist center in Beijing with a unique single piece of Tibetan white sandalwood gifted to Emperor Qianlong from the seventh Dalai Lama. This then marks the end of the tour followed by hotel or railway station drop off.
