Day 1 Tianjin-Beijing-Tianjin by Private Vehicle

The day starts with an early morning pick up from your downtown hotel in Tianjin followed by a cozy ride to Beijing city. On arrival, we will proceed to visit the cute and cuddly pandas at the Beijing Zoo where you can also learn about the conservation center and see other endangered species. After this, we will move to the Hutong area and get behind the scenes to get a sneak peek into Beijing’s fascinating hutong lifestyle then stop for lunch in one of the family homes to have a meal with the locals and get a one on one experience when attending a paper cutting ceremony and see just how good your handy work can get. Later, ride on the rickshaw at the Hutong and meander through and traveling narrow alleyways to get a close touch with the natives' way of life and culture. Then head to the Lama Temple constructed with a combination of Tibetan and Han Chinese styles where you will find outstanding pieces of art, a sandalwood statue, bronze Buddhas and large frescos on the wall. This then marks the end of our tour followed by a drop off back in Tianjin.
