Day 1 Arrival in Luoyang

Be met at the railway station by your tour guide then go to Luoyang Museum, enjoy precious relics and learn Chinese culture. Later, move to Lijing Gate and Luoyang Old Street, explore this history and enjoy delicious local food.

Day 2 Luoyang

White Horse Temple, Longmen Grottoes

Your tour guide and driver pick you up at hotel lobby in the morning then start the tour from the White Horse Temple which is regarded as the cradle of Chinese Buddhism by the Buddhist disciples. After lunch, head to the Longmen Grottoes, one of the four great grottoes in China. You can see an exhibition of countless caves, statues and stupas. The tour ends from sending you back to the hotel.

Day 3 Luoyang-Dengfeng by Private Vehicle

Shaolin Temple

Be picked up at the hotel lobby then drive around 1.5 hours to Shaolin Temple, the cradle of Kungfu. You will visit the grand temples, exquisite Buddha statues, admire the grand Pagoda Forest and get to know why they are different in height, size and pagoda storey. After lunch, enjoy amazing Shaolin Kungfu performed by monks lasting around half hours, and you have the chance to learn Kungfu in the class for 2 hours. In the late afternoon, check-in the hotel in the scenic area.

Mount Song

After breakfast, continue explore Mount Song, visit grand Zhongyue Temple, walking in the tranquil temple and experience Taoism culture then hike to Songyang Academy, one of Four Greatest Academies in ancient time. The elegant layout of the academy fully reflected Confucianism and many knowledgeable men have given lectures. After lunch, transfer back to Luoyang hotel or railway station.

Yes everything was spectacular and fascinating very professional and prompt services. There were beautiful places to explore and to see in the 4 hours that we had. The comfort and beauty of the China was incredible, The history, culture and way of life of the local people we bumped into during the layover was beyond our expectations. Hiking on the Great wall after driving through a small remote countryside was very relaxing and rejuvenating. It was the best trip ever to experience on a few hours.

We had not previously used a travel agency for touring. The crew including the driver and tour guide were really funny, friendly and knowledgeable. Despite having limited time we still had free time allowing for shopping and grabbing a meal and drinks. Highly recommend this layover in Beijing.

Well worth it! Jenny was really nice and incredibly helpful with the immigration process after airport personnel originally escorted to the wrong area and didn’t want to allow leaving the airport. She takes great photos! Beautiful views and fun to take the toboggan down. Wasn’t too crowded on this day - and definitely worth doing with a 7 hour layover. Nice car and driver too.

He speaks good English and very patient. He knows his stuff. I visited West Lake , Buddhist temple and the Pagoda.
