Day 1 Arrival in Guiyang

Airport-hotel Transfer

Welcome to the colorful Guizhou province-Guiyang. Your friendly tour guide and driver will pick you up at the railway station or airport in Guiyang then escort you back to the hotel.

Recommend activity: Wander around Qianling Park where you can stretch your legs and enjoy the beautiful landscape, worship at Hongfu Temple and watch naughty monkeys. On the top of the mountain, you will have a panoramic view of the whole Guiyang city. Later head to elegant Jiaxiu Tower, the symbol of Guiyang with a history of more than 400 years. Climb to the top, the scenery of the Nanming River is quite beautiful. In the evening, the neon lights decorated the tower and the city, looks magnificent!

Day 2 Guiyang-Anshun-Guiyang by Private Vehicle

Huangguoshu Waterfall

In the morning, drive around 2 hours to Huangguoshu Waterfall. Entering inside, take the sightseeing bus to Tianxiqiao Scenic Spot, regarded as the Karst floating stone forest. Here the inconspicuous stones are scattered all over the place, you’ll enjoy the enchanting lakes, caves, floating stone forest, elegant stone bridges. Take some pictures at the beautiful Silver Pendant Waterfall. After enjoying delicious lunch at a local restaurant, take the sightseeing bus to Huangguoshu Waterfall, the only waterfall that can be viewed from multiple angles. When the water is sufficient, it is like a flood dragon into the pool, shattering and deafening. At last, pay a short visit to the shooting place of Journey to the West-Doupotang Waterfall. Drive back to the hotel after visiting.

Kindly Note: The best travel time to Huanggushu Waterfall is from June to October.

Day 3 Guiyang-Kaili by Private Vehicle

Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village

Check out from the hotel and drive to Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village(3.5hrs), the largest Miao village in China. When entering inside, you’ll be warmly welcomed by twelve toast offered by local women and reed-pipe wind instrument music blown by men. In noon, enjoy famous Long Table Banquet and the lively singing and dancing performance, or you can even try their local costumes at your own cost and take some beautiful pictures. Continue to explore Xijiang Miao Ethnic Museum, get comprehensive knowledge from its history and culture, singing and dancing, traditional architecture, costumes and silver ornament etc. At last, check in a hotel at Xijiang. The rest of the day is free for you. In the evening, take a leisurely walk in the splendid village decorated with yellow neon lights, the bridge and traditional Diaojiaolou look so amazing, don’t forget to take some pictures there.

Day 4 Kaili-Libo County by Private Vehicle

Libo Daxiao Hole Scenic Spot

Check out from the hotel and head to Libo Daxiao Hole Scenic Spot(2.5hrs), the famous UNESCO World Heritage where consist beautiful mountains, lakes, caves, forest and waterfalls. In the gorge, the waterfalls run fast and look like silver water curtain, so magnificent and breathtaking. Besides, you get the chance to have close contact with local Buyi ethnic groups by visiting the traditional Diaojiaolou buildings, elegant cloth and silver jewelry. The meal will be served at a local restaurant. Continue the trip to the ancient seven holes bridge, built in Qing dynasty and served as an important bridge between Libo county and Guangxi province in ancient time. Although it looks fragile, it has survived floods for hundreds of years. Later, you will discover many precious trees and plants there, some plants even root in the stone in the water. It looks like a floating forest if you look from a distance. The tour ends from sending you back to the hotel and have a good rest.

Day 5 Libo County-Zhaoxing County by Private Vehicle

Basha Miao Village, Zhaoxing Dong Village

After breakfast, transfer to Basha Miao Village(3hrs). Basha Miao Village is regarded as the last gunner tribe in China, you will enjoy the exciting show including wrestling, singing and dancing, haircut by sickle, wedding ceremony etc. Men in this village value their hair, it’s the most important gender symbol in men’s costumes. They keep the hair in the center of the head and tie it up. After enjoying delicious lunch at a local restaurant, transfer to Zhaoxing Dong Village(1h). In 2007, it was selected as one of the 33 most attractive destinations in the world by National Geographic. Enjoy the idyllic landscape as you walking leisurely along the path and appreciate traditional singing and dancing of Dong ethnic group. Check in the local hotel. The rest of the day is free for you. In the evening, enjoy the World Heritage-Dong Chorus at your own cost and join in the exciting singing and dancing performance.

Day 6 Zhaoxing County-Longsheng County by Private Vehicle

Longsheng Longji Rice Terraces, Huangluo Yao Village

Check out from the hotel and transfer to Longsheng Longji Rice Terrance in Guilin(2hrs). Upon arrival, you'll visit Huangluo Yao Village, where the local women have the longest hair in the world. You will view their traditional red clothing and elegant dances, and listen to melodious folk music. After being served with good-tasting lunch, you'll head to Longji Rice Terraces. Hike or take the optional cable car to the summit to absorb amazing and magnificent rice terraces. It has different beauty in different seasons. Open tillage irrigation and start to plant rice in spring, rape flowers are waving their hands in the breeze. Impressive green or yellow fields of rice terraces bring inner peace for every tourist. Your private driver and tour guide will pick you up from the hotel then enjoy a scenic 2-hour drive to Guilin. The first stop today is Reed Flute Cave. There is a saying that "Guilin's scenery is the best in the world, but the Reed Flute Cave is the most beautiful place in Guilin". Reed Flute Cave is 240 meters deep, which owns a large number of stalactites, stalagmites, stone pillars and stone flowers, just like a fantasy fairyland decorated with gems, coral, jade. In the world, known as the "The Art Palace in Nature". When you enter the cave, colorful lights and grotesque stalactite add radiance and beauty to each other. After lunch, you will be driven to the Elephant Trunk Hill. The Elephant Trunk Hill is like an elephant drinking water in the river, it is famous for being the sign of Guilin, a must-see scenic spot to every visitor. Walking along the river road and stepping across a small bridge, you will have a panoramic view of scenes around from the Elephant Trunk Hill. At last, go for Seven Star Park, take a leisurely walk around the park and inhale fresh air. Afterward, check in a hotel and have a rest.

Day 8 Guilin-Yangshuo County by Cruise

Li River, Yangshuo West Street

The driver and tour guide will pick you up from the hotel lobby in the morning and then drive you to Xingping pier, embark the cruise and enjoy the essence of the Li River. Floating on the river, you will find that the landscape on both sides of the river looks like a picture, meanwhile, there are many mountains and thriving trees along the banks of the river including the famous nine horse painting mountain, the reflection of yellow cloth, the moon mountain, and Xingping fishing village where left Clinton footprint etc. Lunch will be served on the cruise. After arrival in Yangshuo county, you will walk to Yangshuo West Street. Yangshuo West Street has a history of more than 1400 years which is the oldest and most prosperous street in Yangshuo. This street is less than 1km, curved as S shape with simple and elegant houses on both sides. Hang out in the west street, pick up your favorite postcard, write down blessing words from the heart, taste the local snacks, or enjoy a cocktail, listen to sings in a bar the whole night, you will find time passing quickly.

Yes everything was spectacular and fascinating very professional and prompt services. There were beautiful places to explore and to see in the 4 hours that we had. The comfort and beauty of the China was incredible, The history, culture and way of life of the local people we bumped into during the layover was beyond our expectations. Hiking on the Great wall after driving through a small remote countryside was very relaxing and rejuvenating. It was the best trip ever to experience on a few hours.

We had not previously used a travel agency for touring. The crew including the driver and tour guide were really funny, friendly and knowledgeable. Despite having limited time we still had free time allowing for shopping and grabbing a meal and drinks. Highly recommend this layover in Beijing.

Well worth it! Jenny was really nice and incredibly helpful with the immigration process after airport personnel originally escorted to the wrong area and didn’t want to allow leaving the airport. She takes great photos! Beautiful views and fun to take the toboggan down. Wasn’t too crowded on this day - and definitely worth doing with a 7 hour layover. Nice car and driver too.
