Day 1 Arrival in Guiyang

Welcome to Guiyang, the capital of Guizhou province. Upon your arrival, your warmhearted Guizhou tour guide and driver will greet you at the airport or railway station, then you’ll be escorted to a local hotel and check-in. The rest of the day is free for you to explore.

Recommend activity: Wander around Qianling Park where you can stretch your legs and enjoy the beautiful landscape, worship at Hongfu Temple and watch naughty monkeys. On the top of the mountain, you will have a panoramic view of whole Guiyang city. Later head to elegant Jiaxiu Tower, the symbol of Guiyang with a history of more than 400 years. Climb to the top, the scenery of the Nanming River is quite beautiful. In the evening, the neon lights decorated the tower and the city, looks magnificent!

Day 2 Guiyang-Kaili by Private Vehicle

Langde Miao Village

Check out from the hotel and enjoy a scenic drive to Kaili county(3hrs). Start your wonderful trip to Langde Miao Village, which is famous for its traditional long skirts, it’s also the place for passing the Olympic torch in 2008. Upon arrival, you will see men are blowing reed-pipe wind instruments, alcohol is offered by warmhearted women wearing traditional costumes and silver headdresses. Entering inside, visit a local family house, appreciate their traditional Diaojiaolou buildings and get a close touch with their lifestyle. Delicious homemade lunch will be served. After lunch, enjoy the traditional singing and dancing performance, join in the performance and enjoy the happy moment there. After visiting, drive to Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village and stay overnight. The rest of the day is free for you. In the evening, enjoy the amazing night view at Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village.

Explore Xijiang Miao Ethnic Museum, get comprehensive knowledge of Miao ethnic groups from the history and culture, singing and dancing, traditional architecture, costumes and silver ornament etc. Famous Long Table Banquet will be served for lunch, enjoy the lively singing and dancing performance, or you can even try their local costumes at your own cost and take some beautiful pictures. Yes everything was spectacular and fascinating very professional and prompt services. There were beautiful places to explore and to see in the 4 hours that we had. The comfort and beauty of the China was incredible, The history, culture and way of life of the local people we bumped into during the layover was beyond our expectations. Hiking on the Great wall after driving through a small remote countryside was very relaxing and rejuvenating. It was the best trip ever to experience on a few hours.

We had not previously used a travel agency for touring. The crew including the driver and tour guide were really funny, friendly and knowledgeable. Despite having limited time we still had free time allowing for shopping and grabbing a meal and drinks. Highly recommend this layover in Beijing.

Well worth it! Jenny was really nice and incredibly helpful with the immigration process after airport personnel originally escorted to the wrong area and didn’t want to allow leaving the airport. She takes great photos! Beautiful views and fun to take the toboggan down. Wasn’t too crowded on this day - and definitely worth doing with a 7 hour layover. Nice car and driver too.

He speaks good English and very patient. He knows his stuff. I visited West Lake , Buddhist temple and the Pagoda.
