Xiaozhou Village lies in district Haizhu, city Guangzhou, initially built at end of Yuan Dynasty and beginning of Ming Dynasty. Xiaozhou Village features the south waterland most. It is listed as one of 16 historical protection areas and reputed as the ecology representative village in Province Guangdong. Xiaozhou Village faces the south stream of pearl river, directly to Panyu across the river, Paifang river from east,   directly to Guanzhou Island and Luntou, connect Tuhua village from west. Xiaozhou Village was formed by alluvial of pearl river for thousands of years. It covers areas over 6013.8 acres. The river is almost 10 kilometers long. The villagers made a living by growing fruits. There are 20,000 acres fruit forest including a Yingzhou ecology park. There are small bridges, rich streams and ancient residents in the village. The Xiaozhou Village is more like a folk museum. The residence were built along the river and the villagers all live by the waterside. In the village, there are many hundreds of years ancient trees, hundereds of years ancient residence made by oyster shells, and any wells stepping across with hundered of years age.
