Introduction

Situated at the heart of Guangzhou, Beijing Road is a commercial street not just for shopping but also a hub of history displaying the times of Song Dynasty. It is packed with malls, shops and restaurants. There is a full display of the road as it was originally in the Song Dynasty set aside in underground archeological sites testifying its existence for nearly a thousand years. The official sponsor of these underground sites is Coca Cola with its logo displayed in almost all the glass displays.

Sightsee

Right at the heart of the pedestrian street are huge glass panels preserved in excavated sites testifying the existence of the road from the Song Dynasty. In addition to this there is also a site of an ancient building with the highlight being the Site of Nanyue Kingdom Palace and the Site of the Dockyard of Qin Dynasty.

At night when the street completely come to life and become even livelier than during the day lit up by neon. This is also something which shouldn’t be missed.

Eat

The best place to taste unique cuisines is at Guangming Square where you can satisfy your appetite for western dishes, Japanese dishes and south east Asia cuisines.
